Beautiful Winter Skies…

…for your Thursday/Friday end of week enjoyment. #2 in my Whitten Skies series. These are beautiful winter skies and most of them are taken by my childhood friend, Julie Zickafoose. She lives in Ohio, so most are taken near her home. You may have heard of Julie, she is a writer, illustrator and artist, photographer and bird expert and rehabilitator extraordinaire! So very talented. She has written and illustrated several books about birds, including my favorite, The Bluebird Effect. I had heard of the book but didn’t realize it was my friend Julie until another good friend gave me the book after Whitten died. We haven’t really kept in touch - she was my friend and neighbor until about 5th grade when we moved across town. But that doesn’t mean I can’t brag on her! Enjoy!
